Britain’s Prince Charles is to inaugurate a synagogue in Manchester. In addition to unveiling a plaque and planting a tree at the Bowden Shul on Monday, he will attend a service and two receptions in what his office described as “a very rare event.” A spokesman said the prince’s participation “links to his concern to reflect all major faiths in this country.”
