Britain’s Refusal of Credit to Israel Explained in London

Sources close to the British Treasury revealed here today that Israel’s request for credits to purchase crude oil had been refused for purely economic and not political reasons. It is understood that Britain has intimated her willingness to consider other non-financial ways of helping Israel economically.
