Great interest was expressed in Jewish circles here over the report that the Cabinet has been given for its consideration a plan for empire defense including strong air bases in Palestine.

The plan, which also provides for air stations at Gibraltar, Malta and Aden, was presented by Sir Maurice Hankey, secretary of the Committee of Imperial Defense.
