Gallows are being built in a small German town in the British occupation zone in preparation for the execution of Josef Kramer, “the Beast of Belsen,” and ten others, it was reported here today.

Field Marshal Sir Bernard Montgomery yesterday rejected the appeals of eight of the doomed men and women, while three did not appeal the sentences imposed by a British military court at Lueneburg after a nine-week trial.
