Home Secretary James Chuter Ede informed the House of Commons today that the Home Office has refused to extradite Dr. Wladislaw Dering to Poland to stand trial as a war criminal on the grounds that further investigation into the entire case is needed.

Dr. Dering, a Pole is charged by Poland, France and Czechoslovakia with having performed inhuman medical experiments on inmates in the Oswiecim death camp during the Nazi occupation.
