British Minister of State Anthony Nutting today criticized Israel for the El Auja border fighting. He summoned Israel Ambassador Eliahu Elath and in a tense 30-minute session expressed British dismay at Israel’s action. The Israel embassy in London issued a statement saying Israel was entitled to defend its own sovereign territory.
