The Palestine government loan to the amount of $22,500,000 which is to be floated shortly by the government, will be guaranteed as to principal and interest, by the British Chancellor of the Exchequer, according to an official White Paper issued here yesterday on the question.
The White Paper outlines the plan for the loan and states that a resolution was introduced into the House of Commons to authorize the Treasury to guarantee the Palestine government loan of amp;#1634,500,000.
The loan is to be used by the Palestine government in the following manner: amp;#163;640,000 are to be expended on the construction of new railways in Palestine: amp;#163;1,115,000 for the construction of the harbor at Haifa; amp;#163;475,000 for other public works and for the acquisition of the existing railway and other capital assets now in the property of the British government to the amount of amp;#163;1,000,000.
