British War Office Denies Knowledge of Hunger Strike by Jewish Brigade in Belgium

The War Office early today said that it “had not been told” of a reported hunger strike by 5,000 officers and men of the Jewish Brigade stationed-in Belgium.

The Brigaders are reported to have declared a two-day hunger strike to protest the statement of Palestine policy by Foreign Minister Bevin.
