The United Zionist Council of Canada today announced the naming of Allan Bronfman as chairman of its Herzl Year Committee. The announcement was made by Edward E. Gelber, president of the Council, who emphasized his gratification that Mr. Bronfman has consented to head the Canadian committee that is to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the passing of Dr. Theodore Herzl, the father of political Zionism.
