Representatives of most of the synagogues and Jewish institutions of learning of the Borough Park section of Brooklyn have resolved to support the city-wide campaign against “mushroom” synagogues now being waged by prominent Jewish leaders in cooperation with city authorities, it was announced yesterday.
The synagogues and institutions represented at the meeting included Temple Emanuel, Temple Beth-El, the Hebrew Academy of Boro Park, Young Israel, Congregation Anshe Sfard, the Hebrew Institute of Boro Park (Yeshiva Eitz Chaim), the Synagogue Sons of Judah and the Congregation Shomrei Emunah.
