Bruno Lessing’s Son Gets Post in Seattle

For the first time in Seattle history, a Jew, Rudolph Block Jr., widely known Seattle newspaperman, will be chief personal aide to the city’s mayor, it became known with the appointment of Mr. Block as private secretary to Mayor-elect Charles L. Smith.

Mr. Block’s appointment was the first announced by the may-or-elect, who will take office June 4. The appointee is the son of the widely known writer, Bruno Lessing.
