Buenos Aires Jewish Leader Appointed Argentine Minister to Mexico

Dr. Samuel Daien, a member of the council of the DAIA, the central representative body of Argentine Jewry, left today for Mexico to become Minister of the Argentine Embassy in Mexico City.

He will be second in rank to Ambassador Silvano Santander, a staunch liberal and friend to the Jews. The new Minister was given a farewell by Jewish journalists and presidents of all major Jewish organizations.
