Minister of Interior Sapoff promised a delegation from the Central Consistory of Bulgarian Jews today that the Government would not permit any organization to conduct propaganda against any section of the population.

The Minister also assured the delegation that the police would do their utmost to discover the persons responsible for two anti-Semitic bombings in the town of Varna on June 24.

“The Jewish population may calmly go about its business,” he said. “The Government will give protection to all sections of the population without distinction of race or creed.”

The delegation gave the Minister a memorandum on the unsuccessful attempts to bomb a Jewish bank and the residence of a prominent Jew of Varna. The memorandum also called attention to anti-Semitic activities of the newly-formed National Socialist Party.
