Nashput, the anti-semitic daily, today featured a highly sensational report stating that huge fires occurred this week in biro Bidjan. (Bureya) the territory set aside by the Soviet for Jewish colonization.

As a result of this alleged incendiarism, a number of Jews were said to hav been burned alive when they failed to escape from the burning territory. The fires were said to have lasted for several days. The blazes were finally extinguished by an opportune snow storm which prevented their further spread.

According to the anti-Semitic sheet, the fires occurred when counter-revolutionaries fought the Soviet troops.

“All the news concerning Jews” is faithfully and promptly replorted in the Jewish DailyBulletin-the only Jewish daily newspaper printed in English.
