The Jewish deputy, M. Dubin, today accused the Latvian Minister of the Interior of treating Latvian Nazi organizations with silk gloves, stressing that their activities warranted imprisonment and swift action.

He also complained of the excessive income tax collections exacted from poor Latvian Jews and of excessive taxation of Jews as compared with non-Jews.

”It is enough to see the collapsing Jewish huts to realize the poverty stricken Jewish traders should not be taxed, since they have no bread,” the Jewish deputy declared.
