Canada Extends Deadline for Claims Against Poland for Property

The Canadian Department of External Affairs announced today that the January 1, 1966 deadline for the registration of claims against Poland has been extended to May 1, 1966 in response to numerous requests.

The Canadian and Polish governments recently agreed to begin negotiations in the near future with a view to settlement of claims of Canadian citizens arising out of property nationalized or otherwise taken by the Polish Government.
