The highest income on record in Canada for a single year for Zionist work was achieved in 1927. according to the financial statement issued by the Zionist Organization of Canada, reviewing the year 1927 in general and the period of seven months, since the last Canadian Zionist Convention, in particular.

The total income for the year 1927 is $221,434; while the expenditure, which is the lowest on record is a little less than eighteen per cent or about $3,000 per month. The year 1927 shows an increase in income of some $17,000 over the previous year.

Canadian Jewry this last year contributed to the Jewish National Fund $44,451. This shows an increase of $7,000 over the income of the previous year. In 1921 the total income for the Jewish National Fund for Canada was only $2,800. Western Canada contributed two-thirds of the Jewish National Fund income for 1927, and the largest item in that income is the money derived from the Jewish National Fund boxes. During the last seven months, the income of the boxes in Canada was $9,000 while the income from the Land Fund ranked next.

The income for the Keren Hayesod, for the period of seven months since June 7, is $70,000. It is to be noted, however, that there is still a large amount outstanding in Keren Hayesod pledges, which is now being collected throughout the country, and that the 1927 Keren Hayesod compaign is being finished up in parts of the Maritime Provinces and Northern Outario.

Canadian Zionists have already paid up in full the loan of $100,000 given to the Keren Hayesod while Dr. Chaim Weizman visited Canada in March.

The Hadassah Organization of Canada contributed in the period of seven months nearly $40,000.
