Canada’s new budget renews the country’s commitment to a program to identify, denaturalize and deport Nazi war criminals. The budget outlines an investment in the War Crimes Program of U.S. $12.6 million annually for the next five years. Ed Morgan, national president of the Canadian Jewish Congress, applauded the move and urged the government to proceed with more WWII-era cases “while the window of opportunity still exists.”
