The appointment of David A. Golden, 34, to the post of Deputy Minister for Defense Production was announced here. The young Montreal-born lawyer is the first Canadian Jew to be appointed to such a high rank. He is a former Rhodes scholar and was imprisoned by the Japanese during the war.
