Canadian Jew Named Deputy Governor of Bank of Canada

Louis Rasminsky, noted Canadian Jewish financial expert, has been named a Deputy Governor of the Bank of Canada. A member of a well-known Toronto Jewish family, Mr. Rasminsky entered the Canadian civil service in 1940 after a distinguished career with the League of Nations at Geneva. He is 46 years old. Mr. Rasminsky has probably served on more public bodies having to do with international finance and economics than anyone else in Canada.
