The United Jewish Refugee and War Relief Agencies of the Canadian Jewish Congress has been recognized as the official agency of Canadian Jewry in relation to the work of the Intergovernmental Committee for Refugees, it was announced here today, following a conference between Saul Hayes, executive director of the Canadian Jewish Congress, and Sir Herbert W. Emerson, League of Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, and director of the Committee. Sir Herbert also conferred with Senator Cairine Wilson, chairman of the Canadian National Committee on Refugees.
