More than 300 delegates from 25 Canadian Jewish communities gathered here yesterday in a national mobilization conference for the State of Israel bond drive.
Levi Eshkol, Israel’s Minister of Finance and chief speaker, expressed his government’s gratitude for the Canadian Government’s decision to sell Israel 24 “wings of peace” Sabre jet fighters. Other speakers included Israel Ambassador Michael S. Comay and Samuel Broniman, chairman of the drive, and Dr. Joseph J. Schwartz, executive vice chairman of the bond organization.
