The Jewish method of slaughtering was today lauded as “most humane” by the Canadian Minister of Justice Davie Fulton and by a representative of the Humane Society, E. L. Taylor, both testifying before a parliamentary committee of 60 members on the slaughtering bill.
Both dealt at great length with the Shechita methods, and emphasized that there is no cause for objecting to Shechita. Hearings will continue on Thursday.
