Canadian Provincial Premiers Support Demand for Abrogation of White Paper

Premier Stuart Garson of Manitoba and Premier Ernest C. Manning of Alberta have endorsed the demand for the abrogation of the White Paper and the implementation of the Balfour Declaration, it was disclosed today by the Canadian Zionist Federation. Premier Garson voiced his support at a meeting in Winnipeg, while Premier Manning spoke to a gathering in Edmonton.

The Montreal press reports today that Rene Bolduc, son of the police chief of the near-by summer resort of Plage Laval, who was accused of leading an anti-Jewish riot there last Summer, has been convicted of evading the draft and will be sentenced Feb. 1. Bolduc was acquitted of complicity in the Plage Laval riot despite testimony that he had lead a group of hoodlums who precipitated the disturbances.
