The United Zionist Council of Canada sent a message of congratulations yesterday to Prime Minister Sir Winston Churchill of Britain on the occasion of his 80th birthday. The message, signed by Edward E. Gelber, president, declared that “Churchill’s understanding of and contributions toward the achievement and implementation of the Zionist ideal, carry with them the hallmark of greatness in recognizing that a restored Israel could right an ancient wrong and make possible again the spiritual flowering of a people in its own land.”
