The loyalty to the state’s interests of Capt. Robert Rosenbluth recently the object of charges in connection with the death of Major Alexander Cronkhite resulted today in the recovery by the State of $41,512.00.
Following his graduation from the Yale Forestry School in 1911, Rosenbluth entered the state’s forestry service. Visiting on one occasion at Dannemora, he found that the Chateaugay Ore and Iron Company was trespassing on state lands and had out down timber belonging to the state.
Rosenbluth instituted action against the company. The ore concern fought the matter, but in view of the Court of Appeals’ recent decision upholding Rosenbluth’s contention, the company today capitulated and paid the money to the state treasury.
