Two leading rabbis joined here with clergymen of other faiths in the celebration of Peace Day, an annual event established by Pope Paul VI. Participating in the ceremonies, that were presided over by Antonio Cardinal Caggiano, Archbishop of Buenos Aires, were Conservative Chief Rabbi Dr. Guillermo Schlesinger of the Congragacion Israelita de La Republica Argentina; and a Libend Rabbi, Dr. Leon Klenicki. Dr. Schlesinger pronounced the first invocation, declaring that “The absence of war does not mean peace.”
