The cases of three Polish Jewish leaders, who arrived here yesterday on the United States liner Manhattan with tourist visas and are unable to return to Poland, will be considered by a board of review at Ellis Island tomorrow or Wednesday and then will be taken to the Labor Department in Washington.
It is believed that since the three–Dr. Arjeh Tartakower, Dr. Jakob Apenszlak and Dr. Leib Wulman–now have no country to which they can return, the board will have no alternative but to order their exclusion. The Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society will then appeal the cases to the Labor Department, and it is hoped that they will then be released from Ellis Island, probably under bond.
