Rep. Emanuel Celler today introduced a resolution calling for an investigation by the House Foreign Affairs Committee on the collapse of the denazification program in Germany.
“Recent events in Germany indicate serious trends which, if allowed to continue, would undermine the whole impact of the denazification program,” Rep. Celler said. “The acquittal of Wolfgang Hedler, who publicly stated that the extermination of Jews might have been wrong but there were other ways of getting rid of them, is a flagrant example of this trend,” he pointed out.
