The problems of Jews in small communities and the problems of Jewish youth were discussed by the 300 delegates attending the seventh conference of the Federation of Jewish Communities of Central America and Panama held in San Salvador. Gen. Yosef Avidar, former Israeli Ambassador to Moscow and Buenos Aires, was the honored guest. Others attending were Gen. Itzhak Pundak, Israeli Ambassador to San Salvador and Guatamala and Sergio Nudelstejer, representative of the American Jewish Committee. Salvador Freud of San Salvador was elected president of the Federation for the next two years.
