The establishment of the David and Milton Ratner Chair in Jewish Culture and Literature at Roosevelt University was formally inaugurated today at the Standard Club in Chicago. Dr. Edward J. Sparling, president of the university, expressed his thanks to Dr. Ratner for providing the funds that made possible the Chair and stated that he hoped that “this program will contribute to the cultural and intellectual enrichment not only of the local community but of the nation as well.”
