Charles Jaffe, Former Chess Champion, Dies

Funeral services were held here yesterday for Charles Jaffe, former chess editor and chess champion of New York State, who died Saturday of a heart attack. Born in Russia 65 years ago, he had lived in the United States since 1898. He was the author of two books on chess. He was buried yesterday in the Mount Richmond Cemetery.
