Chess players of twenty countries are expected to gather here in April for the first international chess tournament is one of the features of the second World Maccabian which will take place here.

A press exhibition, which will trace the history of the Jewish press in Palestine for the last seventy years, will also be shown at the same time. In the exhibition will be a collection of 2,000 articles which appeared in Jewish papers all over the world in many languages on the death of the Hebrew poet laureate, Chaim Nachman Bialik.

Thousands of Jewish athletes from every part of the world will participate in the Tel Aviv Maccabiad.
