Chicago City Council Ordinance Prohibits Printing, Posting Racist Literature

The Chicago City Council has passed an ordinance ##bidding the printing or posting of racist literature.The measure provides a maximum of six months imprisonment or a fine up to 200 for exposing an individual or racial or religious group to hatred or ridicule ## as to endanger the public peace.” It will not affect newspapers and bonafide periodicals.
