The authorities today refused to admit to Chile eight German-Jewish refugees from Rotterdam who arrived yesterday on the steamer Santa Lucia.
Detained at Valparaiso upon their arrival yesterday, the refugees were refused landing permits and, despite intervention by the HIAS-ICA Emigration Association, have been ordered to leave on the same ship that brought them.
