China, Sudan, Afghanistan, Myanmar, Iraq and Iran are among the states that trample on religious freedom, according to a U.S. State Department report. The report also criticized Germany for discriminating against members of the Church of Scientology, and France for discriminating against 173 groups that are “merely unfamiliar or unpopular.”
