“christian Front” Assailed at W.c.t.u. Parley

The Christian Front was described as an organization “corrupting youth, undermining the American spirit and paving the way for some form of Hitlerism,” by Mrs. Harold V. Milligan, of New York, head of the National Council of Women, addressing the convention of the Women’s Christian Temperance Union yesterday.

Describing the organization as the successor to “the discredited German-American Bund,” Mrs. Milligan said: “Members of the Christian Front are technical American citizens because they are citizens in law, but not in spirit. The people of New York City have been alarmed by its activities. They condemn American democracy and hold meetings at which wellnigh treasonable statements are made.”
