City of Philadelphia Honors Haym Salomon on 164th Anniversary of His Death

The City of Philadelphia yesterday honored the memory of Haym Salomon, the Polish Jew who distinguished himself as a war patriot during the Revolutionary War by unselfish financial contributions to George Washing-ton’s army. Exercises marking the l64th anniversary of Salomon’s death were held in the Mikveh Israel Cemetery here, where Salomon vas buried in an unmarked grave.
