Morton L. Mandel, Cleveland community leader, has been named chairman of the fund-raising division of the National Jewish Welfare Board, it was announced today by Solomon Litt, JWB president. He succeeds Lester D. Alexander, of Toledo, who served in that office for the past seven years.
Mr. Mandel, former president of the Jewish Community Center of Cleveland, is a past-vice-president of the JWB Midwest Section. He is an honorary trustee for life of the Cleve land JCC, a trustee of the Jewish Community Federation of Cleveland, a group chairman of the Cleveland UJA and a trustee of Junior Achievement of Cleveland. He is a member of the JWB board of directors.
