Robert Zupnik of this city won first place in the national oboe contest held in conjunction with the National Band Contest at Des Moines, Iowa. He also was awarded the American Bandmaster’s Association scholarship. Mr. Zupnik will study at the Ernest Williams music camp in New York state this summer.
