The City Council of Cologne has rejected the motion introduced by the National-Socialists (anti-Semitic party) to forbid Schechita, the Jewish method of slaughtering animals, in that large German city.

The National-Socialists who have recently been elected to the various City Councils in German cities, have been ordered by their leaders to introduce there bills prohibiting Schechita and establishing a numerus clausus for Jewish students in high schools.
