The Cabinet decided yesterday to establish a committee consisting of the directors general of various ministries to coordinate the absorption of Jewish immigrants from Ethiopia — Falashas. The committee will also include the heads of the Jewish Agency’s aliya and finance departments and youth aliya.
Its task will be to eliminate as much as possible of the red tape that clogs the bureaucratic process for Ethiopian newcomers and to coordinate the activities of the ministries and agencies that deal with them.
