A public order bill prohibiting the wearing of political uniforms and the maintenance of private armies by associations or individuals was introduced in the House of Commons today by Home Secretary Sir John Simon.
The bill, aimed particularly at Sir Oswald Mosley’s Blackshirts although not mentioning them by name, also provides measures for preservation of public order at meetings and processions. Text of the bill has not yet been published.
