“If I have anything to say about it, the Seattle Jewish community’s long-awaited step toward communal unity-a central clearing house representing Seattle’s twenty-six Jewish men’s organizations-will become a reality before the end of May.”
That was the declaration of Otto S. Grunbaum, B’nai B’rith trustee and past president, and head of a special committee which is making plans to establish a Conference of Seattle Jewish Men’s Organizations. His statement came in the face of refusal of Temple de Hirsch to join the proposed organization and after a meeting of the B’nai B’rith Past Presidents’ Club, sponsors of the unity move.
