The Union of Orthodox Hebrew Congregation of Britain, at a session here, adopted a resolution expressing alarm over reports of the importation of canned non-kosher meat into Israel.

The resolution declared “This open flouting of Jewish law by the Government of Israel is an affront to the religious and national feelings of Jews in every land. It is hound to endanger the fight for the right of schechirn in many parts of the Diaspora and give encouragement to those who wish to curtail the religious liberties of Jewish communities.”
