Congress passed legislation opposed by the Reform movement that would protect gun manufacturers from lawsuits. The legislation passed both houses of Congress on Thursday by wide margins, and President Bush is expected to sign the bill. Reform movement leaders had written to congressional leaders prior to the vote that the bill restricting lawsuits went against Jewish values.
