Chairman Michael A. Feighan, of the House Immigration Subcommittee, said today that his subcommittee will hold hearings early next year on immigration act revision, although he opposes the Administration reforms which include elimination of the national origins quota system.

The Ohio Democrat revealed that he has started a series of conferences with Congressional leaders, including Speaker McCormack, Administration officials and members of his subcommittee. Rep. Feighan disagrees with the need to end the quota system. He favors a limited measure pertaining to reunion of families.
