Democratic Congressman Samuel Yorty of California asked the House Un-American Activities Committee to investigate anti-Semitic propaganda being put out by Robert H. Williams of Santa Ana, California. The Los Angeles Congressman said that any group “dedicated to the gospel of hate” is a threat to American security and should be “exposed to pitiless publicity.”

Rep. Yorty said Williams publishes the “Williams Intelligence Summary” and such pamphlets as “Know Your Enemy.” Among the Jews attacked in Williams’ publication are U.S. delegate to the U.N. Benjamin Cohen, Israel Ambassador Abba Eban, who is termed as a delegate from the “Marxist-dominated Zionist State,” Sen. Herbert H. Lehman and U.S. General Mark Clark, whose mother was Jewish.
