More than 400 delegates assembled here today at the fourth annual convention of the Agudas Israel Organization of America to discuss the rescue of Jews in Europe and the strengthening of orthodox education in America. The convention will also issue a statement on Palestine.
The opening session tonight was addressed by Jacob Rosenheim, president of the World Agudas Israel Organization, and by Rabbi Eliezer Silver, president of the American branch of the organization. The session was opened with a prayer for the victory of the United Nations followed by a prayer for the Jews massacred in Europe.
