Mixed marriages are not subject to annulment under the Nuremberg laws if the Jewish party is a convert to Christianity or is not a member of a Jewish religious group, an expert of the Nazi racial party explained to the German press today.
The Marriage can be annulled, however, if the opposite is true with respect to the Jewish party, the expert pointed out.
According to official figures, a total of 42,452 marriages between Jews and Christians were solemnized in Germany from 1901 to 1933 under religious auspices. The total of mixed marriages is estimated at 200,000 to 300,000, of whom approximately 100,000 are believed to be full-blooded Jews.
